Question by Sam The Weather Man: Stop parents from tracking every website I got to through the wifi?
I recently found out that my dad can track every website I’ve been to through his antivirus software. Alot of it is private with facebook and stuff like that. I also suspect that he knows all of my passwords to facebook and my e-mail too. Is there a way to stop him from seeing where I’ve been going because I don’t like him knowing what I am doing with my personal life. By the way I was using a laptop and I use my wifi and he can still track it. and I have know idea how he managed to see the things on facebook unless he logged in with my password

Even though it don’t seem like it, he’s just trying to look out for you because he remembers what went through his head when he was your age and he don’t want you to learn some of these things the hard way. Also you are a part of him, so in a sense if you do something stupid, he feels like it makes him look stupid too. You might not like it, but just learn to deal with it until you get out on your own. As long as someone else is taking care of you and your finances (internet, cable, food, electricity, shelter, water, medical, dental, etc. etc.) just consider that your way of paying the bills. Later on, you might figure out your ol’ dad ain’t that bad in the first place.
Also, if you can find a way around it, he can block your tunnel if his anti-virus is worth anything.
